They are going to hear them anyway. What was considered curse words when I was a child are just mild oaths now.

Yes. Seeing a little kid cursing just looks so wrong. As though they lost their innocence.

Kids learn words through hearing other talk. I think cursing is a crude form of language, so I do think it is bad. But, that is me. I have a friend who uses a variety of colorfuil language around her child who also uses those words (5 years old). She thinks it is normal. So... it depends on how you want your child talking.

I wouldn't purposely use curse words in front of them, not the 'biggies' anyway, but they'll learn on their own. I never considered the curse word thing a really big deal. The bigger deal you make of it, the more they want to say them.
