Yes, It was a Marine Corps AAV. We rode off of the ship, motored through the water and up onto the beach. Pretty smooth ride in the water, not so much on a choppy beach.

Yup. Used to drive M577s and M113s. Even survived tipping over a M577 many years back.

Yep. Been in a British main battle tank and a british APC around their tank driving range. Was nice. Alot less bumpy in the tank (but then it had better technology).

My best friend was a mechanic in the Army. He got me in a M1A1 but I only got to look around, no ride :(. As for other track vehicles I have operated a D9 bulldozer.

Rented one for an hour. Enormous fun driving it. My wife didn't enjoy it as much though - got thrown around in back like a ping pong ball. It was actually a British self-propelled gun with a little troop carrying compartment. How the hell do crew/soldiers cope with being rattled about with all those hard, sharp edges??

Yes. I went through the Armor School at Fort Knox, KY, and was a mechanized infantry company commander with the 173rd Airborne in Vietnam.

I drove M-113's, ITV's, M-577's....was in Bradley's, M-1's, M-60's, 4 duce mortar carrier. Even some Russian stuff.

I have been in the M1 Abrams, and in the back of the Bradley (checking them out as we supported them). I have been in and fired the M109 Self-Propelled Howitzer. And was assigned a M113, and M577.

only in control of a radio version... not actually inside one... for Christmas one year my cousin and I received a tyco model called Fastrax... fun to drive but easy to break, my grandfather epoxied my car back to health about 5 times before it was really dead... i miss that thing :(
