  • First order of the day is to take care of your dad. Everything else can stay on "hold", until he is okay. Then, take one step at a time. Or, you'll end up in the bed next to your dad.
  • I was wondering where you'd been! Ugh, another week is coming up so a chance to have some wonderful things happen. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to your dad.
  • I just said a prayer for you & your dad. Good luck to you.
  • Life is never fair. Your dad needs you.
  • First, hope your dad is fine..(sending good intentions to him)..you'll get the assignment right the second time, professors can be @ssholes too. And I take it the car that hit you was insured? Take care!
  • I'm sorry to hear about your father, hope he can recover quickly. Yes, I had a seven year run of bad luck. Lost both my parents to cancer, got divorced, the company I was working for was taken over and I had to relocate, lost tons of friends, some friends passed on, a second woman I was to marry broke off the engagement, ....
  • just to expand- so I can complain some more-lol. the car that hit me drove off- and i think "hit" might be a strong word- more like graze the side of my car- I couldn't write that all down on the question though.
  • Often enough that I take that sort of adversity as par for the course. However there are more important things we should be doing than sharing sob stories. You have an ill father and I have my own issues to deal with. Best of luck to you.
  • Hey- here's an update---my dad is back home---yay---he did have a heart attack but it wasn't serious enough to keep him for longer than 36hrs at the hospital- best wishes to you all- thanks
