  • Yes, of course it should.Maybe this would be a good one. WARNING! EXPOSURE TO THE SON CAN PREVENT BURNING. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. Might just get the curious to open it up for a change Altea, which part do you find self serving? is it the joke or bible verses?
  • There is violence and then there is violence. I don't think that the Bible compares with the ultra-violent media that some groups are conplaining about. Where the Bible describes violent events, it presents relatively dry, matter-of-fact descriptions of what happened. It does not dwell on the details of the blood and gore of the events. It also gives these accounts as a means of promoting good over evil. The violent media to which many people object is usulally violence for the sake of violence and, in some cases, glorifies illegal and immoral behavior. So, no, I don't think that the Bible needs a warning lable. There is no comparison between it and the violent media that some decry. (The debate over warning labels on these media is a completely different argument and is better taken up in a completely different area of AB.)
  • Clearly, the Bible should NOT have a warning label. After all, the Bible is the true Word of God and is to be used for teaching and sharing with each other "The Good News." If you're concerned about "the amount of violence in the Bible," then you may wish to use a children's Bible, provided that you're concerned about child(ren) learning about biblical violence at a young age. There are several children's Bibles out there that I am sure will help to meet your child(ren)'s needs. On the other hand, if you're concerned as an adult about the Bible having violence in it, then I can only suggest that you try to ignore the violence and try to fully understand the focal point of the Bible, which is basically that God loves us and He wants to accept Jesus as our Saviour, and in order, to do that, all we have to do is accept Jesus as our Saviour by praying to God and asking Jesus to be our Saviour. I hope this helps to answer your question!
  • No need for a warning label. After all other books have perished the Word of God will remain. Violence is a fact of life and will continue to be so until the son of man returns and takes back this planet by force (Revelation 19:11-13).
  • warning may cause bigotry
  • what for if the same thing is happening today? Believe me there is a warning label on the inside already.
  • Perhaps... One already exists ; )
  • Portrayal of violence and sex are often the two factors looked at when warning labels are considered for material intended to be released for the public. These types of material apart from breaching public morality laws, where these exist, can adversely affect the minds of those viewing them. Some countries have/had strict laws on the sort of material that could be brought into them. These countries also have officially appointed groups of people who approve material before it is published. Here’s a part of a public talk in which the speaker touches on a verdict by one such group of people which had Christian clergymen amongst its members .
