Help answer this question below.

I am a straight forward, to the point, kind of person. I dont mean to offend anyone with what I say but it happens alot. Are you too straight forward?

    I'm fairly straightforward. It's made me some enemies but a lot of my friends appreciate my advice so much more because they know i'm honest. I'd much prefer to be honest than to smile and just tell someone what i think they want to hear.

    No, I always try to be tactful and respectful of other people's feelings and position while being true to myself. I am honest but not blunt.

    I love living in Chicago because the culture here is very straightforward. People don't smile at your face and stab you in the back. You always know where you stand. Some people might find it abrasive; I find it refreshing.

    I am too, sometimes i might word something badly on here and even though i still mean what i say it can come across a bit hars, the same as in real life, but those who know me know that i dont mean to be blunt but sometimes a certain situation or question or advice asked of me is needed, but i'll always do it with a soft tone.

    When an answer is given with the intention of helping someone, and you phrase it the best way you know how, it is up to the reader how to accept your words.

    I have answered thousands of questions here and received thousands of comments from people thanking me, but there are always one or two people who insist on taking offense. That is their own bias, and has nothing to do with me.

    Everybody says Im too straightforward. OK, may be there is a limit. But, as Im unable to find where the balance is, between the upper and the lower limits, I prefer the upper one.
    BTW, it seems to be a part of the character of my homeland.

    Or it could be that the people you are talking to are easily offended, or they are angry and pretending to be offended to control your behavior and speech. There are several scenarios to consider.

    I try to be tactful and considerate, but it doesn't always come out of my mouth like it sounded in my head... Okay, in all fairness and honesty, it 99% of the time doesn't come out tactfully... I'm not verbally graceful...

    I say what I think, and so I obviously have few friends. I am by no means tactless, but I am a take-it-or-leave-it kind of bloke, and if you don't agree with my opinions I will politely argue with you until Sun-up, but I will never modify my opinions just to keep the peace. To do that, I would have to betray myself, and it is my own friendship that I value the most.

    People who say I am "straight-forward" are ususally mean big mouths who give opinions when they are not wanted and when asked for an opinion they do not know how to deliver it with consideration and love. They often take pride in being mean and call it straight-forward...then claim that many people like their "truthful" opinion. No, never given an opinion when it has not been solicited! When it is solicited, deivery it with love and kindness and not a string of stinging, burning words. Does that help?? I was hoping you liked my "straight-forward" opinion.
