if you really have the 99 spec ITR (JDM Integra Type R) transmission, it is the best b-series Honda Transmission. I would not change any internals on the type r engine, since Honda has put the best parts inside this engine. You can upgrade to a 2.5 inch exhaust system and AEM Hybrid air intake. I would not recommend nitrous, unless you want to blow up your high compression engine. The motor will handle small shots of nitrous, but over time you will have to replace pistons, rings, and other vital parts.

jdm integra type r engine has 11.0:1 compression. Its a beautiful all-motor engine, dont boost it. If you absolutely have to, then change pistons to special nitrous-low compression ones. I would recommend Wiseco.

i have a 93 acura integra 1.8l dohc and it will turn over but no spark or fuel i have replaced pretty much everything but the ecu

You're reading I did an engine swap and now have a 1999 JDM TYPE R engine w/a lsd transmission. I am pulling the engine again and want to know what I can do to get the most performance. Transmission/clutch,internals/externals, nitros, forced air,intake/exhaust computer

I was always under the impression that Hondas didn't like nitrous or boost unless you practically rebuilt the engine anyways. I mean, how much cylinder pressure can they take? Take the atmosphere, add another 10 PSI on top of that, and we're almost up to 300 PSI before the spark plug even fires and the pressure goes up DRAMATICALLY on ignition... assuming it still runs right.
More likely it'll either pre-ignite or just plain detonate, as in explode.
