I started with milk + sugar when I was younger, then black for a while. Now, unfortunately, I am utterly addicted to French Vanilla flavored CoffeeMate, and I have a hard time using anything else.

Coffee is disgustingly foul, but if I absolutely must drink it, I have it with soy milk and sugar. Just out of curiosity, why do Americans put cream in their coffee? That sounds so disgusting.

Depends on two things: where the coffee is from and what kinda mood im in. For instance, in Jamaica the coffee is so good that I could drink it black. If I am pulling an all nighter studying then- black If I am drinking crappy coffee from the gas station than lots of sugar, milk or cream :)

I make it STRONG so that you almost have to use cream and sugar. I like a lot of cream and I mean cream not half & half and a little sugar. Another thing, I don't stir. That way you have a creamy top and a sweet bottom. Your cup (16oz glass) progresses in flavor as you drink.
