    a toasted itallian hoagie

    lost of foods are better over cooked +

    I love pizza slightly burnt. And when I get french onion soup I ask for the cheese on top to be a little burnt!

    I agree with you. I made an apple pie and I forgot that is was in the oven and it was a little more than slightly burnt. But I must say it was good.

    It's called the Maillard reaction. It's what happens when the natural sugars in the foods react with the amino acids when heated to the caramelizing stage. It's why you brown meat to bring out the flavor or caramelize your onions. It really heightens the flavors. It's why roasted coffee tastes so good and toast or roasted nuts. It's even why we like caramel and chocolate. It's all because of the Maillard reaction.

    to me i think it is just you. lol
    I hate a slight burned taste, it makes me sick.
    I like it just perfect. However if someone is cooking me dinner and they burn it slightly i will still eat it i wont be rude.
