  • I think there are other options. Personally, I believe the end of our lives is only a transition to other things but I don't believe you have to be save in order to move on.
  • The way I understand it is that the 'saving from' bit is still to come. Hence the faith part of "By faith you are saved". You believe now that you will be saved (from stuff) then...
  • I am saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. I will sit at the right hand of the Father in eternal glory.
  • You know thats a good question. I have spent time pondering this same question. I believe in a higher power but I have my doubts about so many things. I believe in a higher power because something greater than any human had to start the ball rolling. I choose to call this power God. I do not go by the bible or any other book that may have been written, no I go by the only thing that can not be altered by man and that is my heart. I do good as often as I can, I try to allow others to live by going through their heart. I do this not because i think I will go to hell when I die but i do these things because they make me feel good. I think that is what it is all about feeling good and letting others feel good. I believe we all have this in us. Now I do not believe God would give us all this and not give us a way to be saved. maybe this is some sort of heaven maybe it is peaceful rest. does it matter? not really I see it as all good. I don't allow myself to dwell on an afterlife of hell because I truly feel that I am good and that alone makes me feel saved.
  • Life isn't self-contained. When we die, we go back to the Earth and the Earth uses as as fuel.
  • I guess we will all find out the answer to this question at the end of our earthly lives. Until then it is up to personal experience and beliefs.
  • Billions of people are saved. Many are already in heaven. As Jesus, on the cross, said to the repentent thief, "Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise." (Luke 23:43) Some are still on Earth endeavoring to live holy lives. A few may freely change their minds and choose to be separated from God forever. This is called mortal sin. With love in Christ.
  • It would be a shame wouldn’t it if the end of this imperfect life were to be it. Millions of ordinary people do good in their daily lives without any worldly recognition and there are countless who cheat or commit worse injustices even murder and get away with it. Our worldly justice is far from perfect. Religion tells us that there will be a final reckoning. It is mentioned in HQ 14:41 in the prayer “Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents and believers on the day when the reckoning is established.” HQ 7:8 adds “The weighing (in the balance of good and bad) on that day is the true (weighing). As for them whose scale is heavy (with good), they are the successful ones.” While HQ 99:7-8 tells us how detailed the reckoning will be “And whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it then, And whoever does an atom's weight of ill will see it then.” HQ 34:3 sums it up by saying “Those who disbelieve say: The Hour will never come unto us. Say : Nay, by my Lord, but it is coming unto you surely. (He is) the Knower of the Unseen. Not an atom's weight, or less than that or greater, escapes Him in the heavens or in the earth, but it is in a clear Record”
  • Yes. I am saved by the holy, sinless, and perfect shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and by His death, burial, and ressurection from the dead. I am saved by God's grace and His Word assures me and anyone who believes upon the Name of Jesus Christ of eternal life. :) -In the service of the Master. Thank you and God bless you!
