I have four mollies, 3 females and 1 male. They all huddle up in one area in the tank, and the females always stay at the bottom. What could be wrong?

    Hello;

    Mollys like to swim and move around a lot. I would think their is something wrong with the water parameters. Molys like salt --- use aquarium or sea salt at 1-tbl spoon per 5-gallons and keep the water temp above 75. They do get cold and huddle around the heater at times. They like clean hard water --- the sea salt will harden the water --- and a lot of algae or plants to eat. They will not grow well and will eventually die without enough plant material to eat.

    Enjoy

    Your females at the bottom could be pregnant so you should check how fat it is because mollies are very easy to breed.
