  • i am so glad you asked this question, i am so courious about how they died. I think allot of people don't state it because they feel it is a private matter. Plus it costs allot of money to do obituaries.

  • I wonder if the person was young or around my age.
  • My doctor's 35 year old son had a heart attack while playing hockey and died. I guess they didn't want anyone to think he had a heart attack during sex with his new wife.
  • I think it's family discretion as to whether or not to state the cause of death. Sometimes they'll say "as the result of an accident", but sometimes it will just say "unexpectedly" Those are often suicides, but I do wish the less personal ones would have a little more detail.
  • I'd have to agree with sleepymom on this one. it's at the family's discretion. sometimes it might be a long illness like my father, but sometimes it might be unexpected and tragic like a suicide. it might be too difficult and tragic for the family to divulge publicly in an obituary.
