Christmas tree decorations from dough which you bake in the oven and then paint. You can make snowmen, candy canes...anything!

I think homemade cards are lovely. You can use absolutely anything from spare fabric pieces to fallen leaves. Old wrapping paper or even pics from magazines.

bird houses. Paint them and add flowers and a music player (one of those push button players that people put in dolls)... you can add the mushroom birds. They sell pretty good, and you don't have to make the bird house, you can buy them prefab.

Buy canning jars and bulk ingredients for cookies or some other baked goods. Fill the jar with the ingredients. Print a tag with instructions. Cover the lid with a scrap of pretty fabric and tie a ribbon round it. It looks pretty and best of all is actually a usable item. http://images-cdn01.associatedcontent.com/image/A2999/29995/300_29995.jpg

Make bookmarks from lengths of ribbon with buttons or silk flowers glued at the top.

Make cards - christmas is coming! I can tell you are computer literate (otherwise you would not be here) - a couple of years ago I made some Christmas cards/decorations using OHT (Overhead transparency film - it works in any colour printer). I made some Christmas designs using clipart, (holly, candles etc), then printed them onto the OHT film, then cut the designs out and sandwiched them between two pieces of thick paper with a hole cut in the centre - so it looked like a Christmas stained glass window, or light catcher. They made great decorations!
