  • My birth. And what a surprise that was (only kidding, I was a wanted child).
  • Courtesy....that seems to have gone by the wayside:(
  • I have to say the lack of strong relationships. Those that lasted for 25 35 45 years.
  • I am amazed at how selfish, irrisponsible and rude people have become. I am also amazed at how society has accepted this so easily. Excellent question, BTW
  • That i darnt draw money out of the cash machines, that i dont go out my house after it gets dark, that the kids of today throw a barrage of foul language if you say anything to them, that the criminal have more rights than the victim.
  • People are less polite, hardly any manners at all. Cost of living has risen exorbitantly; a family needs two income to live a decent life. Technology is taking over People don't take time to smell the roses anymore; everyone is always in a rush. More Children are making babies. This generation wants an easy life and don't want to work. • The rise of litigation /suing people over questionable fault for massive $ returns. I expected society would be smarter than that.

  • When I was a kid, if I was alone and had a problem (fell off my bike while riding in the streets, got lost...) we were expected to ask a "grown-up" for help. Now, kids are warned to stay away from "grown-ups", no matter what, unless they belong to a very short list of non-strangers. • you know it's not really the changes so much that surpise me as it is the refusal of people to change in the last 25 years. In many ways peoples thinking and ideals are still stuck in the 18th century. Technology is moving quickly but people are slow and afraid to embrace it, people are slow to change and adapt with the technologies and issues of the modern day. Americans today still hold tight to ideals of the 50's and 60's of how relationships, marriage, housing and other things should be. It's sad really that progress is undermined by fear of change.
