Is there anything I can do to make my singing voice sound more hoarse?

    Yes, you can use a contemporary singing technique, adduction of the false vocal folds (two folds of skin above the true vocal folds). Start off learning to do it by making a motorboat sound. Then bring in your singing voice. Be sparing with it though as it is potentially quite damaging to the voice, although susceptibility to this seems to vary from person to person. It would be very sensible to pay special attention to all aspects of vocal care if you are going to use this technique.

    Why do you want to make itsound hoarse?You want it to sound good and making it sound hoarse makes it sound good.MAybe you didn't understand the meaning of that word.
