As far as I know (and this is something that anybody getting a legal abortion will be told by a doctor or a nurse) immediatly following an abortion, you should continue to expell the lining of the uterus (have your period) for a few days, then you will again be fertile before your next period, and you will have your next period acording to your cycle (everyone is different, 28 days is a good common umber though).

Everyone takes to the procedure differently. You may bleed alot or you may only have minimum blood show for a few days after the procedure. As someone who has experienced this operation recently, my advice is not to stress if you havent got your period yet, as your body requires time to recover and return to its normal state. If you are really concerned you should see your doctor.
