Yes, neither one of us likes to go without the other. I just plain miss him and he misses me. So far, in our 34 years of marriage, there has only been one time we spent 3 days apart while he worked overnight on a remote location, erecting a vacation cabin brought in by helicopter. He took lots of photos so I could see what I missed:-)

Yes, but I'm the one who travels and we both find it hard enough for me to leave my current position.

No we both travelled quite a lot with our work and although it is normal to miss each other it became the norm . We would talk every day a couple of times.

Leaving your spouse home to go on vacation with friends is a very touchy subject. My spouse is on vacation at this writing with two friends out of country. If you do it wrong you give the impression that you will not or did not miss your spouse. Not a good thing for a marriage and for trust. It has taken me years to control my disappointment in my wife for her willingness to travel with friends without me. If your spouse doesn't like it,do not expect to get by the issue very easily because at heart it can mean to the jilted that you just don't love as much as they love you since they cannot ever see themselves ever vacationing without you. Loyalty and love is in the eye of the beholder. JS

Nope! Trust him completely! In fact, if there was ONLY one room left in a hotel that he HAD to share with a female, I'd even trust him sleeping in the SAME bed with her! He's unbelievably trustworthy! Don't worry about him for a MINUTE!

"LET" her travel without me? I would LOVE it if she'd travel without me! In fact, do you have a destination in mind? A plane ticket? No, better yet, do you have a train ticket, or a slow boat to China? I'll get her to pack her bags right away, no, I'll get them packed myself! No, wait, she doesn't need bags at all; I'll send her things to her or she can buy new stuff along the way! What are you waiting for? Don't just sit there, you have arrangements to make!
