    In Conan the Barbarian, he was excellent as the evil king who turned into a snake and had amassed a huge following of devotees who were entranced with him and willing to die at his bidding. A very powerful screen presence, and I cannot imagine anyone else in the role. He was near-perfect.

    Actually, James Earl Jones only provided the voice of Darth Vader. David Prowse actually played the character.

    As for my favorite JEJ characters, I'd have to say Admiral Greer (The Hunt for Red October).

    I actually missed meeting him by literally seconds a few years ago. Apparently, he's something of an astronomy buff, and attends the Northeast Astronomical Forum & Telescope Show every few years. A friend of mine who was manning one of the booths asked if I'd seen him...
