Starting a new school is really hard. I did it in highschool. But if you think like that then it probably will happen, so be positive. And I'm sure someone will like you - there is always someone.

Every school you go to there will be the jerks, I'm not sure you can escape them. You just need to be an ace at handling them - good comebakcs add points, don't let them think they can upset you!

And anyway... you go on Answerbag... your way cool in my book ;)

When I was in 7th grade I felt the same way. So I asked my Mom to let me quit Catholic School and go to Public School. When I got to the public school system the kids seemed alot more wild. However I would still have made the change. It saved my parents some money and its good to have a clean slate to start with. Then after junior high for a year in a half I got to change schools again and go to a public High School. After my first year as a freshman It got pretty good. Especially if I stayed away from the football team members and wrestlers. They like to pick on people. But finding that the people I had the most in common with was the drug dealers. Made me begin to realize the serious drinking problem by parents had.

    Hope that helps.
And Hope it works out for you.

dont believe no one likes you, they just dont all things there are about you. make sure you get involved in the things you love and you will find like minded people and friends.

Other than put up with it and try to view the school and it's kids in a different light, how about home schooling? Is that an option for where you live?

If you just started at the new school, give it some time. New adjustments can be very difficult until you find your niche.

If nothing falls into place by the first half of the year, you may want to consider another public or possibly provate school. In high school, I moved across country and my new school, which was in a very different kind of community, simply didn't suit me. I transfered to a smaller school much like my previous one and made such good friends that we talk many years later.

Give your school a chance. Join a club or activity to meet people who may better suit you. But if you can't, there are always other schools out there. Good luck.

Transfer to a school that you feel comfortable with so you can get the best learning experience from it.

Can your parents help?? Also, keep in mind, that when you put out a bad attitude, a bad attitude comes back to you. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I know from personal experience. If your parents can't help you, than just try to put yourself out there and be open... it will take a while for others to view you in the new light... and it will take you a while to even fully accept that there might be something positive about the school and its people.

Well there's really only 2 things you can do.
Give it a chance, you WILL make friends [and i can promise you that] and begin to fit in, it always takes time so you have to be patient.

Or tell your parents the situation and that you want out. [but i'm sure it wont come to that]

    Good luck! :)

Grin and bear it! If you put a smile on your face and pretend to like the school you can trick yourself into believing that it is not so bad. Now this will not work all the time but it might work a few minutes at a time and during those moments maybe a teacher or another student will notice you and then you will have some company in your school and it wont be as bad.
