Help answer this question below.

I am a citizen of Georgia (Europe). If I marry my U.S. boyfriend when visiting him in the U.S. and I'm there on a tourist VISA, will I need to go back home after we marry?

    He must file a fiance visa and that allows you to come here, also I imagine that you have met him in person and that you know that he is not a con man - I do not mean to be rude but there are many con-artist perpetrating sweet heart scams over the internet(on both sides from the USA and the foreign). Anyway by filing a fiance Visa form you can come here and you guys can get married and fill all the proper forms. Is Illegal for you to come as a tourist or J1 visa if you have other motives: marriage, jobs etc.At the very least you will have to go back and do more paperwork if you get married as a tourist.( some guys know this and invite girls for a bit of sex and then send them home) The INS, the agency that overseas marriages and grants legal permits for foreign individuals to stay, will give you lie detector tests, exams and research your background and if your motive is not a true relationship -prison and deportation. Which I am sure does not apply to you. But just so you know cause some people think is easy to get married and stay. Also be aware that there are bad people trying to bring Georgia/Russia/Ukraine girls over on the promise of marriage and then bad things happen to them crime ,enrolled in prostitution etc. The legal and safest thing to do is file a fiance visa any other way your marriage may not be accepted by USA officials. But you can research this by going to INS website or emailing US embassy in Georgia.
