Every voice is unique, actually.
But some voices are exceptional, for various reasons.
For instance a broad range.
And many voices have a particular "something" that makes you recognize them immediately.
Here an example of a great singer:
"Natalie Dessay : Queen of the night "O zittre nicht" (1994)"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mvRPekFqJg
Here an example of a very particular singer:
"Tanita Tikaram Twist in my Sobriety Russian Poetic Lyrics"

Many singers have that in their own ways. Too many to ask such a question I belive.
SEAL His voice is soooo sexy!
JOSH GROBAN Has to be the most perfect voice ever!
LYLE LOVETT He may not be pretty, but that voice turns me on!
Tiny Tim.
Mind you, "unique" does not always equal "pleasing"...
Nina Simone.
Robert Smith of the Cure comes to mind and well, truth be told, an avatar brougt him to mind. Sounds a bit like Pinky when he talks. Or Neil from the Young Ones.
Barry White, Axl Rose, Johnny Cash to name a few.
She is good, the is no music video, so at least this is something
Cyndi Lauper
Tiny Tim
Edith Piaf, Barry White, Kim Carnes
Joss Stone I love her voice.
Nina Simone.
Sting, Mick Jagger, Robert Plant..ok, I'm old school..:)
Jewell!
Taylor Hicks .. one of a kind .
Karen Carpenter. Karen had a "radio voice"----when you heard her on the radio or other sound system, it was like she was in the room with you live----she had a voice that was instantly recognizable. Since her passing, I have never heard anyone else like her, and I really doubt we will ever hear her "kind of voice" again.
Before listening to Durante explain what its all about to Sinatra, consider Irene Kral.
one whose voice is unique in that it is so ordinary. Irene Kral (1932-1978). Been listening to the CD 'Better Than Anything' with it's outstanding examples of her fresh singing.
Here is an example of her talent with a slow ballad:
Steven Tyler from Aerosmith has a real distinct voice. Nothing like him.
enrique
Bill KAulitz form tokio hotel
tom york from radiohead
damon albarn from blur
pavlos pavlidis(from a greek rock band named ksilina spathia)
pj harvey
taylor swift
David Something from Disturbed it sounds the same in each song but you easy tell that it is Disturb because of that
Shawn Colvin. I saw her live and her voice is amazing. She is a truly talented woman who deserves her success.
Roy Orbison.
rihanna
Alison Krauss.
Dax Riggs has the coolest voice I've heard. If your into metal Check out Acid Bath, When the Kite String Pops. If you like areana-type rock check out Agents of Oblivion, and for rootsy folk stuff check out Deadboy and the Elephantmen. Dax fronted all projects.
Adele.
Listen to her "Hometown Glory." It's really good.
Do you enjoy group singing? Church choirs, caroling at holiday time, parties, Karaoke bars? Are you very loud or quiet? Do you have fun?
