  • No, we are talking about 3 different modes of transport: Fins, wings and legs. Animals have evolved around one maybe two different modes of transport, any that have developed speed at that mode will hinder any speed at the other two. Any animal that can run fast will have strong leg muscles, any of these animals will not have fins in order to swim quickly (even though there are animals that can swim quickly without fins such as crocodiles for example, these animals will not have wings though). Any animal that can swim fast will not have wings strong enough for flight (if you consider water foul to be able to swim quickly then that maybe your perogative, however they do not have strong enough leg muscles in order to run quickly). Any animal that can fly will rarely require limbs in order to move quickly on land or in the sea, because flight is the safest (from predators) mode of transport so why develop any other?
  • Well there is a bird that dives... it can fly and walk too... it dives in the water, gets a fish, swims back up, eats the fish, then repeats... IT IS THE LORD OF ALL TERRAIN!
  • The Common Loon. It can do all three faster than a human. Is that fast enough to be considered fast?
  • The person typing this can do all of those
  • Yup! A Man!
