  • My uncle lives there. It is very beautiful. Many people says that parts of it rain all the time, but I hear that that isn't always true. Many wonderful and amazing places to go there.
  • I live in Washington I am outside Seattle area on Whidbey Island I am of course in the conversion belt the weather is fairly nice on the Island, and we are surrounded by water of course a few different local beaches you can go to and great swimming holes as well. Yes it rains here, but isn't all that bad summers are usually great. Too many people, but I think theres enough work for everyone. Houseing market is a little high in certain areas. Schools where I live are good and the crime level is low so thats why I like where I live as I have been here since I was 3. Good Luck!
  • Hey I tried to comment back twice won't go through so here is my answer to your new questions minimum wage is $7.50 an hr. I live a hop skip and jump from Everett, Lynnwood or Seattle ect. the ferry ride is about 15 minutes and you will have choices or you can drive up Island and have choices not as many as crossing the boat, but hey. The activities kids do here is mainly alot of sports, 4-H, summer camps and such there swimming holes and public beaches to play on in the summer. Winters are normally mild with the exception of last winter it was windy and cold and we had a few power outages and we had a few different snow storms which is unusual as where I am is cocidered a conversion belt so we usually have decent weather. no shorts here till about late march early April or maybe even May just depends right now as we speak weather is fantastic. The zip code for weather look up is 98236.
  • Washington is a great place to live. I've lived her for 26 years. The thing is, you have to find the RIGHT place to live. The pacific NW is covered in beautiful evergreen trees and actually has 4 distinct seasons (which alot of places have a mixture of all of them each season) If you like busy cities, seattle and its suburbs or spokane on the east side of the state are pretty busy.. if you like quieter communities, west yakima, ellensburg etc would be nice to live in. Either way, if you live anywhere in washington you're sure to enjoy beauty.. its just a matter of preference in city size and noise! lol
  • It's really nice it doesnt rain as often as ppl say.... it is very green and lushous (depending on where u live) i recomend seattle its very "urban" and there is a mixture of different lifestyles and downtown seattle is a fun place to hang out
  • Washington is beautiful, and we have Seattle, a bustling metropolis. Starbucks, Microsoft, Boeing...some of the biggest and most important companies in the world are headquartered here. We have beautiful green trails and wildlife, mountains (the cascades) and a high minimum wage and standard of living. given that, life here is a bit expensive, but that is a result of the high level of education we have here - a world-class university, the University of Washington. Bill Gates lives here too.
  • I lives in the Tri-Cites for 23 years. (Pasco, Kennewick, Richland) I have lived in Spokane now for 3.5 years. I love it here! You get everything in washington! You have beaches, the desert, and the moutains. We do get snow, but it's not so bad in TC. Seattle has LOTS of hills, and TC gets really hot. Spokane also gets warm, but so far for December we have gotton almost 60 inches of snow. But I don't think I could ever move from Washington!
  • I've lived here all my life and it's darn nice. I travel often and have had the opportunity to spend extended amounts of time in various places but "there’s no place like home". As far as western Washington, It doesn’t rain as much as people think. It is cloudy and gray a lot and some newcomers have trouble with that. The best time of year is from mid June to late September. Central Washington is a very different climate, dry with very little rain and lots of sun. When the clouds get to you, just drive two hours east and your in the sun!
