  • Try & make someone besides myself happy each day
  • Everyone has a philosophy whether they acknowledge it or not, and it is evident in the actions taken, responses to stimuli, goals and priorities established and treatment of other beings. Each person is a living philosophy. If a person has consciously established a philosophy, it should be fundamental to everything they do and think. If I'm not applying my philosphy to every aspect of my life, I'll never know whether it's valid.
  • Philosophy has allowed me to develop perspectives than provide meaning to life; why things happen as they do. Those perspectives may not be "accurate" to many people, but they work for ME, so that's all that matters.
  • Philosophy is one of the most important things in my every day life. I am studying it in school, and it allows me to learn new things about a broad number of topics, and enriches my mind and makes me think more than anything else..
  • To start anything new and worthwhile one must have a good philosophy to start with especially when one has to work with many other people in the process. When it comes to Philosophy, the reasons why philosophy is so important, vary. One of the reasons is Interest. Philosophy is the Love of Wisdom. To pursue philosophy on an intellectual level, allows you to discuss it's importance. As your true conception grows, it allows you to find your moral discipline and opens the doors to investigation. Whether that include nature, causes/effects, or principles of reality. Philosophy challenges what we already know and what we have yet to find out. Knowledge is power, but a power that trumps a systematically challenged value, based on logical reasoning rather than empirical methods. We can only inquire so much, without wanting to learn more about what we have inquired. There is much more to an analysis of fundamental assumptions and standard beliefs. Philosophy disciplines us and makes us "wake up". It allows us to realize we can't control everything in our life. You can create theories upon theories based on ideas, beliefs, and activities; and most likely, you will not have the correct answer.
