No. For safety reasons and also it wouldn't be much fun.
-
I would prefer company but I would also go alone.
-
no
-
I would love to do something like that but I would want to share the experience with somebody
-
I'd rather take it with someone else but...yeah, if I could do it on a Harley.
-
I have done in many times through 2 countries and still take very long road trips by myself.
-
I took a roadtrip by myself once for several months..I wouldnt want to go by myself now..I'm older now and bored the living hell outta myself..LOL
-
I have already done this once (in a motorhome) and hope to do it again (hopefully on a motorcycle). . . .
-
I don't think it would be much fun by myself.
-
i've done it for 28 yrs in a truck. coast to coast...the last 3/12 were the best.my rat terrier's w/me
-
I already did & most likely will do it again when winter comes & I go back to my part time job driving a big rig......M.C.S.
-
yea, sounds like fun
-
did it in a 68 mustang in 1981
-
Given that I had enough money to be by myself, then yes.
-
Sure would, I could see the sights that I wanted to see stay at a place as long I wished to and then leave and go else where.
-
Yep, with serious planning of course.
-
I would have up until a few years ago; now I can't; darned old age!!!!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!!!!!
-
Yes i have and had a great time, and hope to do it soon again.
-
I would but it would not be my 1st choice of travel unless I had plenty of time, the proper transportation method, and could pick the route and the season to travel.
-
Yes, I have been before and would again.
-
Yes I have on my Harley.
-
I would want company, but I wouldn't mind going by myself.
-
when I lived in Indiana I used to take off and go to Louisiana to visit aunts and uncles..I would travel alone and straight through and had a grand time of it!...then when I moved to Maine I loaded up my van as full as I could get it and headed WAY north...and after taking the family on the 18 hour drive back home to Indiana to visit my folks over summer I say it's much easier and quicker to go alone!! lol
-
In 1982, I bought a new Harley Sturgis model and put 1800 miles on it to get it broken in and checked out, then left New Orleans to visit my sister in Tulsa, with an overnight stop in Beaver, then to Denver and on to Salt Lake, north to Yellowstone and wander around Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, over to Seattle, where I spent a night under the Boardwalk, then down to Eureka for a night, Santa Clara, visited an old marine buddy in Gilroy, down to L.A. and Anaheim to visit a place I used to live, then back on I-10 to New Orleans. On the road for six weeks. Great time. Looking forward to a repeat.
-
Yup .. done that .. and it was heaps of fun .. just got to be very careful out there if your planing to do so ..
-
Absolutely, I do it all the time. I love to drive and when you drive it by yourself you don't have to share the radio :o)
-
definitely
-
I did it so many times in a big rig that i used to do different things each time, like once I drove from Eureka, CA to Boston, MA and never turned on the radio just to see where my mind would take me.
-
I certainly would, because it is easier to go alone, but of course it is also kind of nice to have one other adult along, too.
-
I don't think I would want to undertake that long a journey alone. I went with my sister about six years ago and we had a wonderful time, but it was nice for someone else to be able to take over driving after a while and it was nice to have someone to share conversation and meals and enjoying sightseeing with. I have taken trips up to 800 or 900 miles alone, but any further than that, no.
-
That's the only way I'd do it.
-
I have and would do so again if necessary. Here's a site that has some good tips or safety. http://www.kevincoffee.com/women_safety/travel_safety_tips_for_women.htm
-
Sure, which kind of was my idea.
-
Been there, done that.
-
I have been doing this for a living for the past 23 years. I average about 3000 mile a week, some other weeks sometime 4000. BTW, get a GPS if you don't have one, it is worth it's weight in gold.
-
I hitchhiked around Australia but through some areas it's not really advisable. Always let on you have either just visited someone, or on your way to meet someone. Drifters are easy victims.
-
Yes, as long as I had my cell phone. I know they don't work everywhere, but 5 years ago I drove from the Los Angeles area to Davenport Iowa by myself. And in a 15 year old MBZ diesel.
