Why would you feel insulted when someone calls you a "bad name", even if you know for a fact it weren't true?

"Bad names" do not bother me. I couldn't care less what anyone thinks of me. Really.

I don't let others opinions of me bother me in the least if I know there is no truth to it.

I'm a great believer in giving back twice as much as I get, that goes for good things as well as bad!

Everyday I get called names, and told really nasty things, in the beginng it bothered me, but now not so much.

Depends on the name and the situation. Most of the time people just say stupid sh*t to try and hurt the other person's feelings, whether they believe it or not. So, generally, I just think that person is pathetic, and forget about it.

Good question. I agree that one shouldn't feel insulted by something that isn't true.
