  • I would rather buy a car.
  • The new car would not be that nice. I need one of those, though. I only ever donate ten percent of my income anyway.
  • I would definitely not EVER spend that kind of money on a car. I think expensive cars are unnecessary status symbols. I would much rather use the money to help others.
  • I could use the car so I would buy that. But I could donate my current one to charity.
  • Buy a nice car! Duh!!
  • Charity, my car is fine as it is. No need for another one. But maybe id keep some for my lunch money =]
  • First---If you have to decide between a new car and giving $30/000 to a charity--this seems to be a need/want situation? If I had to decide this I have been known to do some rather off the wall things and not what others expect of me. I use a car that is three years old and is like new / but I dont own it/ I can borrow it if I call the night before to make sure its available. Ive know these people for 9 years. So I dont need a car. OK-the money to a charity? No-not all of it. I would buy a telescope of the best quality for $10/000. (I would have to create an enclosure which would cost some more). Once I thought about building one from scratch but that cost is about equal so why bother. If I ever find a better plan to build one I wont need the $10/000. This is a mixture of dreams and realitys. On another subject--Once a dentist called me and explained to me that his brother told him about me. I had helped the brother with a faulty alarm system and I saved him money. The dentist had something going wrong with his drill. I took it home and found the problem and took it back. He said-how much? I said do you use that small microscope in the corner? He said not much well I took it home with me. This is what you call bartering. Its old fashion but I think many do it. I never depended solely on money therefore I learned other ways to do something. There not better just different. With whatever money I had left I would give that to the charity. But you have to figure it out for you --thats REAL. take care
  • Considering the cost of a new car is anywhere from $9K (Hyndai) to $45K for a Lincoln Navagator, I'd buy a nice though cheap new car and still have bucks to give away. The reason for this method, is so I can then get a job and then after the rest of the money is given, I can continue by donating from my new job too.
