  • I don't think as of yet, he's earned the money they have paid him. Maybe if he had gotten the opportunity to play more before being sidelined with injuries. But these things happen, it's just part of the game of professional sports.
  • If he has the impact on "soccer" here in the states that people are saying he will then yes it was a wise investment. If not, and you are basing it solely on what skill he has left, I would argue no.
  • Yes and No (just to be difficult) YES because he has raised the profile of your team to the world stage, there is a Europe wide interest in the MLS now and I have seen people throughout europe wearing LA Galaxy shirts, so that is a good thing. NO because by definition you have signed a player at the tail end of his career, it appeared he had few options in Europe, so he decided to cash in on the last few years of his playing career and make some dollars. he has friends in Hollywood (the Cruises) and his wife for all her faults was born to live in Hollywood. When he gets fit, you will see what he can do with a free kick and you see he is something special, I guess only Alexi Lalas can decide if it was worth it!
  • I think that David will suffer from repeated injuries because he is going to be kicked and hacked, as he was last week. This will stop him from living up to his fee and salary. He has probably still been a good buy, just because he has raised the profile of Galaxy and of MLS.
