  • "Don't get plastic surgery. You should not try to hold your place in time. It's becoming such a cosmetically conscious country. Everyone is getting lifted and squeezed and tucked. It's becoming a cult. Everyone is looking 20 when they're 110 years old. I dont't care about lifts. It just doesn't feel right. I don't know if this sounds old fashioned, but if you start doing that, you start chipping away at little pieces of your soul."
  • LOVE it. We place such a value on youth when in fact it's wisdom of the years that's truly priceless. Denying who you really are does seem a lot like selling off pieces of your soul.
  • I agree with his philosophy entirely. Having said that, I saw some footage of him a few days ago and he looks awful!
  • I do agree but I think Paul Newman has aged more gracefully. What's up with Redford's thick blond wig?
  • I totally agree with him. Although he is looking rough these days. What happened to growing old gracefully?
  • I agree with him; if everyone looks young who do you go to for wisdome? You won't be able to tell>
  • I think it's an easier position for a man to take than a woman, since we are judged by our looks much more than men. So, I can see a woman who has been extremely beautiful and praised for her looks her entire life having a sort of identity crises when all that starts to go away. And hollywood actresses have to prolong their good looks as long as possible if they want to keep working. I agree with Kate though about Paul Newman. The man has aged very gracefully. He is the anti- Burt Reynolds.
