The Rolling Stones. It's just such a poetically simple archetype of a name, no pretentious "Meaning" behind it, nothing to explain, just pure, simple rock (I'm not an especially big fan of their music, but in terms of names they definitely reign supreme). For a close second choice, I've always really liked the name The Heartbreakers (As in, "Tom Petty and...")

KISS It's simple, yet complex. It's something everyone wants, everyone needs, everyone desires, and it's a four letter word. *grin* There also used to be a local band around called "Cravin Morhead". I swear for the longest I thought it was just a guy's name. Then I grew up. And said it out loud.

'Get cape, wear cape, fly' is a good name, dunno what he sounds like though. There is this student band in my town called 'Free Beer' but i've never heard them play. 'This bike is a pipe bomb' 'The Mighty Mighty Bosstones' Can't think of any more right now... Lots of bands have really good names, but that doesn't make them good bands, annoyingly.
