Yes... I just don't let them borrow money anymore
-
Every time I lend money, I never get it back. I lend it out thinking that I will never see it again. That way, when I do, I'm shocked. Of course, I have yet to be shocked.
-
yea i do all the time and i almost never get it back but i just think it is family and i will help any way i can
-
Yes and no I never get it back but I do not allow money to damage a great friendship or cause issues with loved ones.
-
I have learned that when I lend money I don't ever expect to get it back so when I do get it back I am often surprised and grateful.
-
Yes. To family. I learned not to do it again and they don't ask anymore.
-
yes, i lent 200 bucks to a friend and only got half of it back. i made him sit for my 85 pound puppy for a week to make up the difference...so it all worked out fine.

Yes, my sister in law. We sold my car to her and gave it to her when she had only paid half. She ended up not paying us the rest because the psycho father of her child ruined the engine and poured paint all over the seats. Well, she did just pay us the rest but it took her 7 years. It didn't really affect our day to day interactions with her however she knew not to ask us for anything, not a dollar and not other help. Now I do not lend money or things out to people that I need or want back.

Yes I have as I suspect most of us have. The best solution is to not lend or borrow. But this is very hard to do in our society. We love to spend what we dont have. If you borrow, repay it as quickly as possible. If you lend , dont expect it back.
-
Of course. If they cannot pay me back, they must need it more than I do. I would never let that interfere with a relationship. If I know them well enough to lend it to them, I consider them family.

"If they cannot pay me back, they must need it more than I do." What, are you nuts? What planet are you from?
