I'd give it to him now, they do have them for babies.

If he is already eating cereal you should be able to try it. Keep a VERY close eye on him, though. He hasn't quite got the hang of chewing and swallowing yet, so if a big chunk gets in his mouth he'll probably try to swallow it like that, and could very easily choke. If it doesn't work out (ie: choking often, just sucking on it, etc. try again in three to four weeks, and give him a teething ring until then) Hope he isn't to fussy due to pain. This is such an exciting time in a baby's life!!

I chose not to give teething cookie to my children, I didn't think there was much use in giving my children empty calories, and at that age, everything that goes into thier bodies should be good brain food. I would think if your child is doing well on solids you don't need to wait but here are some other things that help with teething.. A cold wet cloth to chew on. Cold apple slices Teething rings. A baby toothbrush/gum stimulator. There are lots of safe and healthy choices for teething babies, good luck!

Those things are SO messy! It would probably be ok for you to start giving them to him now. Just please watch him with it. I let my babies have 1 just so I could take pictures of them with such a messy face, and hands and high chair. Its not something you want to do all the time unless you want to clean him and anything he touches all the time. Those Gerber fruit and veggie wagon wheels are much less messy, and he'll be less likely to choke on them, because they dissolve in thier little mouths.
