  • I see no reason why not, just give it enough care for e.g. water and compost
  • yes it should.I don't know if it will necessarily be as good as the peach that you ate. With some of the crossbreeding and hybridizations they do not remain constant in the seed. Some of these fruits and other plants have to be grown as grafts to maintain the characteristics. But yours will grow into a peach tree of some type.
  • To sprout it needs a cold treatment. You can either place it in the ground, just under the surface and cover with straw or mulch if it gets cold in your area. Or you can place it after drying it, in a damp paper towel and then in a plastic bag, in the fridge fro 3-4 months. Then you can plant it outside and it should grow for you. But it will not grow true to the fruit you got it from but you do get a free plant for your troubles:-)
