Most light tube televisions operate by using three light bulbs. Red, Green and Blue. There can be 2 reasons to why a TV does not show the Colour red. Either the Red bulb is gone, deterioted or magnetic splitter coil is not functioning propelry. Or, in modern TV's such as Plasma screens, the graphic processing chip may be at fault.

More common than this is issues with component cables. they split the signal into the primary colours+ lumanence on the green cable. If your telivision has this setup try tightening or replaceing the red component. (Also really common to get it mixed up with the red RCA audio cable that is required for this setup.
