  • Yes I do, they are all called "Oppegaard" and in english this basically means "Up-Farm". We have family on all 4 sides :)
  • Elaine is West; David is North, Jean is South and Ray is East!
  • Sorry, don't downgrade me for not really answering your question, but the "what would their family names be in English" part compelled me to respond. I work with a French guy whose last name is "Martial," and a Mexican guy whose last name is "Guerra," which both mean "war." Isn't that strange?
  • I only have a neighbor to the east, Nadine. The west is an abandon house across the street is empty due to a fire, and behind me is a school.
  • I know the ones to the north, there are none to the east or west, but I don't know the names of the ones to the south.
  • Jennifer and Brian are to the West of Me. Bradon to the East of me. I don't know the North and South.
  • To the north is Dierdre. TO the south is Harry & Laura. To the east are two people who I never see. The closest neighbor to the west is over a mile away. No idea who they are;-)
  • Directly south of me are Sirpa & Rob, who are Finnish & English. To the east are Juan & Juana, who are Spanish and I have no neighbours to the north or east. I've never asked Sirpa if there is an English equivalent of her name and I think Juan & Juana are pretty easy to work out.
  • Well, let's see... To the North is my neighbor Canada. She's a mix of French, Dutch, English, Inuit, and Eskimo, if I'm not mistaken. To the South is my neighbor Mexico. His ancestry is a combination of French, Spanish, and various Native American tribes, some well known, some rather obscure. To the West is my neighbor Pacifica. She's a beautiful mix of island heritage. To the East is Atlantica. I'm not sure about her, but I think she's got some Jamaican, Puerto Rican, and Cuban in her. I don't know if I covered everything because I don't know her that well. I guess their names are as English as they're ever going to get. Seriously, though, I don't actually know any of my neighbors. I think there might be a Mark next door, but I'm not even sure about that.
  • North is Shirley, South are Hellen and John, East are Nellie and Peter, and West my back yard backs up to a farmers field, but I know who owns the field, if that counts? Joe. I live in a smaller town and I know almost everyone on my street, and probably half the town. If I don't know them, my kids do, lol, or I ask one of my neighbors about someone and learn much more than I really want to know! (which is why I am careful about how much I share as it is instantly PUBLIC info!)
