Do most guys like girls who aren't girly (no pink, make-up, heels)?

• I don't have a problem with someone wanting to be girlygirl but I don't understand how ' doesn't taking care of themselves' and not being a girlygirl have to do with each other. There are many women that take excellent care of themselves and don't wear heels (which actually isn't taking care of yourself) and wearing makeup or always in a skirt or dress. And they can be feminine in other forms of dress. I think Audrey Hepburn is always very feminine and womanly no matter what she wore. I don't think that personal care and being a girlygirl necessarily go together.

• i dont think always wearing a skirt and heels is what makes a girly girl. i love wearing heels but i only even get the chance to wear them pretty rarely and i almost never wear skirts

• I love girly girls. VS Angel is going to make some guy lucky some day. She is beautiful but for the right reasons. It is not "I am pretty check me out." I agree that taking care of yourself and being a girly girl may not go together. However, I observe that the girly girls like her really are happier and take such pride in themselves.

• no one ever said that girls who arent 'girly girls' dont take care of themselves. thats like saying everyone whos christina believes in god but no one else does, ya know what i mean? just because somone isnt a girly girl it doesnt mean that they dont take care of themselves, just girly girls take care of themselves in specific ways and are usually the kinda girls who are into cosmetology n fashion n such. like ya know the chick who is on the fitness reality show, she like owns a gym or something? its called work out on bravo
  she wears make up and does her hair and takes care of herself to a T, has an amazing body and is super pretty but shes not a girly girl at all

• But that is what VS Angel said or implied in her answer. So I was asking if she felt that women other than girlygirls took care of herself. It sounded like if someone didn't do all those things, wear makeup, hair, whatever, that she was saying you didn't care about your appearance. It didn't seem to leave room for personal choice. Sorry if this is getting off track, that's all I was asking about. I wasn't trying to start a fight or have people defending them. There's no need for that.

  "I try to look my best all the time, because I take pride in EVERYTHING I do, including my appearance. Who wants to date/marry someone who doesn't take care of themselves?" -I am going over what I wrote and can see that if you skew what I meant, then it looks like I am implying that. But, if you read it, you can see that I am saying that people who STRIVE FOR THEIR PERSONAL BEST are taking care of themselves. This statement covers everything, not just looks. I wouldn't have even answered this question had it not been for the girly-bashing answers I read. We are NOT superficial and the men WE LIKE are happier with girls like us.

• VS Angel, I'm on your side on this one. Some of the answers so far have strayed away from the question and turned it into some hateful thing about high maintenance, which is not what was asked.

  I like girlie-girls, and girlie-girl women. The more feminine, the more delicate, the better. And to clarify, I do not hate girls or women who are not like that, I just do not prefer them (there IS a difference).

Oh and wire hanging and tattoos? I have no clue where the hell that cam from but if the girl is into it I am sure she can find a guy that is into it as well.
