You car could have failed for multiple reasons. The first thing you should look into is the cat system and make sure your obd rating on the cat is the same for your car. If you have a 96 model or later your cat converter is an obd2 model 95 and lower is obd1. If you didnt cahnge the exhaust system then that shoudlnt be the problem. Check your engine to make sure your Gaskets, rings and cylenders are not scored.
