No medical doctor here, but have you ruled out heart disease? had a complete physical, lately? which foot is swollen? i know these are questions and not answers. here is why. my left foot and ankle also began swelling, a few years ago. after a thorough physical exam., my md advised i had a circulatory problem. the swelling was a major clue. i have been on dieuritics(water pills)for 5 years. these pills control the swelling, but trips to the bathroom, are every 20 minutes, for the first 4 hours. its aggravating, but what price can you place on your health? i have learned how to cope with the pee runs. you will, too.

Could be the beginning of serious circulatory problems. Do you have sleep apnea? If you snore heavy, you may have sleep apnea, and if you do then, consequently, you are not getting enough oxygen into your blood stream and that causes your heart to work harder, therefore creating fluid in your body that is pulled to your feet through gravity. You need to correct this early. See your doctor, as you may have more serious problems. At any rate swelling in your feet is usually a sign of more serious problems.
