I used to address it to both their last names, often with amusing results. XXXX Cote and YYYY Dennis became Dennis Cote. XXXXX Dugan and YYYY Degrey became Dugan Degrey.

I would do it like this: John Smith Joanne Doe xxx abc street City, State zip Names being vice-versa if you want and adding Mr and Mrs. in front of the name if you like.

When I married I kept my last name. When we recieve mail as a married couple it usually comes addressed to Mr and Mrs and my husbands last name.

Seriously, mail it to his name (OR WHOEVER OWNS THE MAILBOX,) and put her name in parenthesis as "and..."
