  • Well more of a yell and then a terrible charlie horse- actually I wake up fairly often during the night- but not quite so violently
  • I have horrible nightmares, and I am really easily scared. I wake up crying or yelling atleast once a month. Usually I have a streak of them... three nights in a row.

  • Yes, lately I've been having bad dreams about my husband dying. He's up in Maryland on active duty and might well get sent to Iraq. It's hard waking up scared and not having him hug me!
  • No - but my ex would wake up in absolute terror! She would toss and turn and say - no, no, stop! and then start screaming, shrill loud terrifying screams. I've never seen anything like it. After, she would wake up and not remember anything about it. I am now convinced that she was actually the Devil.

  • Only when I was 7, I had a scary dream about something and my parents came to see what was wrong and I was crying squashed up right against the wall. very odd.

  • Usually involves my youngest son falling off the end of pier and disappearing under the water and I can't find him. I hate that nightmare.

When he wakes he is exhausted, & very sorry for keeping me awake. These terrors were originally from when he was in the police force he was involved in a car crash which led to him being in a coma. x
  • When I was in elementary I dreamt Going inside my house my dad on the couch bleeding/dead.... a sister of mine in the kitchen on the floor dead... I ran to my baby brothers room he was in his crib just asleep..grabbed him ran out of the house...found a car abandoned I ran into it and saw my mom decapitated in there... I have never forgotten it I actually cried
  • I remember when I was about 10 I had a dream that there was a volcano in our basement and it started leaking. It eventually filled up the whole basement and the whole ground floor so I took my family upstairs crying. I was holding my door shut on the 2nd floor and then the lava burst through my door so we had to climb on my bed. Right when the lava was about to reach us I woke up crying and screaming.
  • Yes. It wasn't a bad dream or anything, I remember calling out someone's name.
  • Yes I have. I remember having dreams so bad, I'd wake with rashes on my arms or wrists. I have bad reactions to stress.
  • Yes but it was more of a night terror because I didn't wake up from a dream. I just woke up screaming! Great, now I sound insane!
  • Not screaming but completely paralized with fear. I couldn't move my body.
  • I didn't scream but I was startled awake when I heard my dead father call out my name loudly. It sounded like he was trying to get my attention but was somewhere I couldn't get to. It was strange though because I have no recollection of a dream or thought of him. It was just like he was outside my sleep and woke me up....has anyone experienced anything like this?

  • Not a scream, but in a cold sweat- yeah.
  • kinda, but i couldn't breathe so it took about 2 seconds before i actually made any noise at all
  • Twice in my life that I remember. One was an odd nightmare and the other I don't even know what I was dreaming about. Go figure. :)
  • yes all the time. unfortunatly for me my dreams are filled with the abuse of my past. if i could go to sleep and not dream i would be happy.
  • yes.. though the few times it has happened it wasn't so much a scream as a startled gasp.. they were all vivid dreams which were a little more wierd and intense than normal dreams although my memory of what was going on in them has grown vague and hard to describe.. although i do remember the last one i also jumped immediately out of bed and ran to the front of the house before i had completely woken up..
