However
You are doing a legal activity in your own time, this is something they have no jurisdiction over, provided it does not clash with interests with respect to your job.
I suppose they could argue, if you're a senior executive or something at the company, that there is a risk of defamation or humilitation or something, however
I';d suggest consulting a lawyer but I'm 99% certain that that dismissal is illegal and would require 'covering up' with a 'poor performance review' etc.
Well, that's at least a weird request from an employer...
if you were using their computer at work even though you were on a break, yes they can. its their equipment their electric and connection your using.
