I've chosen Cremation. Only because I don't find the idea of spending eternity 6 feet under appealing. Then there is the possibility that you may be moved at a later date, because of demand for land.

dust to dust - there is less and less places to bury folks so lets do it like the ancients, burn the bod, return it to the earth or let us float away

I have chosen cremation because I want the least amount of dollars that my family could use, to be used on me. But, my wife says NO WAY is she gonna do it. She says she wants a place where her and the kids can spend time with me, (if they so desire), and it's not gonna be on the mantle. LoL!

I want to be cremated. Why are you asking? Are you dead right now? Are you a zombie?

I think I will leave it up to my surviving family members. It will matter more to them than it will to me at that point.

I haven't planned it much yet. I read about 'Green burials'. I might chose that if it's available where I live.

I choose Cremation. That way none of my family members and friends can come back and kick dirt in my face. Also Cremation is cheaper.

I want to be cremated, I have it in my will my ashes are to be scattered high up in the atmosphere. So the next time you get dust in your eye it might be me ;)

I've said this before. I wish to be cremated. I want my friend Esther to randomly scatter my ashes over unsuspecting foreign tourists at Disney Land.

I will be buried in my families plot, on was my great grandfathers land many years ago. It was all sold except for what was dedicated as a burial plot for generations to come. I will be buried by my parents, as they will be buried by my grandparents on my dads side. My father already is and my moms plot is set aside. I have no influence on where my children will be buried but it is their option to be buried near me. My wife has no interest in this and this is OK by me. She can make her own choice.

After useful organs are removed for transplant, just dispose of the rest as biowaste. It's just a hunk of meat, toss it.
Why should your family have to spend all that money for something so silly?

I chose cremation because although I'd be dead, the thought of the magets getting to me would make me lose sleep

With a rapidly growing population I think cremation is the only responsible way. A viking burial is cremation but more dramatic. I love archery and my dream funeral is a small one man boat floating out onto a calm sea or lake at dusk and a dozen archers shooting fire arrows at it

Jokerblue - I don't want to be kept at all and a bit of charred timber and some human remains would be highly biodegradable and wouldn't generate significant pollution. In some cases they would actually encourage the ecosystem

I told my husband I wanted to be stuffed and sitting on the couch for at the very least 7 days. Dressed in my full "blues" with my Glock 37 (empty of course) in my left hand! lol

Cremation. I believe people are getting rich at someones lowest point. I say cremate me put me in a jar, have a little mass in a park with music, food, and laughing, then use the insurance money and go on a cruise for me

I have chosen cremation. After needed organs have been removed for transplant in people who need them, toss the rest into the fire. I'd like to have some of my ashes launched into orbit around the Earth and the rest scattered in a peaceful place.

Don't really care as much as I expected.. but let's say burial.. seems the most natural thing to do to rot away and become part of the ecosystem again

Cremation. I just think its more civilised. It's bad enough my loved ones have to go through all that, they don't need to be standing out in a cold cemetery with the wind and rain and getting mud all over their nice smart clothing while doing it. Let them sit in a crematorium where its nice and dry.
