open your inventory, there will be useable items, equipable items, and misc items. Click the misc items, look for your card and right click your card. The list of items that have slot for the card will appear, then you select the equipment where you want to insert the card. ta daaaaa. your card was successfully inserted to the equipment.^^v

Cards have specific items they could be 'compounded' with. Some cards can only work with weapons, or headgear, or armor. To find out, read the properties of the card. Or, as had been suggested, double-click on it and if you happen to be carrying equipment that it can work with, the equipment will appear. However, if you're not carrying anything that can work with that card, double-clicking on the card will do nothing.
