  • I believe he was.
  • Found this on the web. Question: "Was the Apostle Paul married?" Answer: The Bible never says whether Paul was married or not. Some think that he was at one time based on what he said in 1 Corinthians 9:5, "Don't we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other apostles and the Lord's brothers and Cephas?" If Paul was married at one time, his wife likely passed away considering he never mentions her in any of his writings. Paul declared that he had the gift of celibacy in 1 Corinthians 7:1-7. Some believe that the Apostle Paul was married because history tells us that a member of the Sanhedrin was required to be married. However, Paul never stated that he was a member of the Sanhedrin. He definitely seemed to be on the path, "I was advancing in Judaism beyond many Jews of my own age and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers" (Galatians 1:14). However, Paul might not have advanced that far before He converted to Christ. So, was the Apostle Paul married? It is possible that he was at one time, but again, the Bible does not specifically say.
  • No....he was supposedly a closet homosexual. Hence, his outspoken disdain for homosexuality.
  • Twice I think. Once to Linda Eastman and once to Heather Mills.
  • No. The Apostle Paul is explicit about his celibacy (see 1 Corinthians, chapter 7, http://www.nccbuscc.org/nab/bible/1corinthians/1corinthians7.htm) The scriptural practice of celibacy by John the Baptist, the Apostle Paul, and especially Jesus Christ are one of the factors in the celibacy of Catholic priests. WWJD? What would Jesus do? Jesus would and did remain unmarried and celibate. With love in Christ.
  • The Apostle Paul was probably married. However, tradition in the Christian Church cannot decide whether his wife forsook him and divorced him, or died.
  • The only one SCRIPTURE tells of being married was Simon Peter. Mk.1:30 he healed his mother in law. 1 Corinthians9:5 Paul is referring to Cephas(Peter, they both mean ROCK) being married.
  • No. Paul speaking in Corintians 7:8&9 So, I say to those who aren't married, and to widows-better to stay unmarried if you can, JUST AS I AM, But if you can't CONTROL yourselves, go ahead and marry. It is better to marry than burn with lust.. God says in revelations of HIS 144,000 Rev.14:4 For they are SPIRITUALLY undefiled, pure as virgins(in body&mind) , following the LAMB whever HE goes. They have been purchased from among the men on the earth as a consecrated offering to God and the Lamb. Paul also said, 1Cor. 7:28&30, it was okay to marry , it just makes devotion to the Lord HARDER...but a believing wife can be a big asset... Paul says of pastors and deacons, celibacy is not for them, but their families should be:1 Timothy 3:1-11 Jesus said, 3 ways to reach celibacy 1) help from God 2) some are born without the ability or disabled by men(eunuchs) 3)some refuse to marry for the SAKE OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. Let anyone who can, ACCEPT my statement. Matt. 19:11 Apostasy: 1 Tim. 4:3 They will say it is WRONG to be married and WRONG to eat meat, even though God gave these things to well taught Chrisians to ENJOY and be THANKFUL for... Paul knew of the teachings from Jesus that it was easier, if you can, to stay single because it was easier to Devote Ones Self to HIM and HIS WORKS...Paul Chose this Route for hisself....
  • During his ministry I don't think he was. But he knew enough about the dynamics of that realtionship that I think he was at some point. Perhaps his wife was killed during his persecution of the church, or maybe after his conversion by the Jewish leaders that despised him after that. No one knows for sure- that is just my theory.
