As Life Drawing is simply drawing something alive, you can illustrate this to your brother by having him draw you. Or try this as it's fun: take a small brown paper bag and place a potato or apple, a pine cone, in the bag. You can do this with multiple bags at one time. Kind of make the bags partially closed so it can't be seen what is inside of them. Have your brother sit at table with drawing pad and put his nonwriting hand into the bags one at a time - making sure he can't see what he touches. Have him "draw" what he feels in the bag. After he does this, open the bags and show him the objects. Look at whether or not his hand knew what he was touching - often the brain might not recognize the object in the bag, but the artists hand will, and will reproduce it. That's one way of having fun with drawing from life. I used this technique in an art workshop I held years ago. I always loved it, and if I can get someone to fill bags for me, I will play the game myself to "warm up" for drawing or painting.
