  • Okay as a lapsed Jew and a reborn believer in Spirituality I believe God helps us every day. Personally I know for a fact that if it wasn't for the divine assistance that I get I would not be where I am today. For example, several years ago I was told that I would never work, never live independently and basically would spend the rest of my life going in and out of hospitals. I nearly proved them right. But that changed after Sept. 11. I think such a horrid event shocked my spirit into realizing that I better get my tuchas (ass for those answerbagers who are Yiddish impaired) in gear. I am now working on a degree in child life. I have my own place and am becomming more independent all the time. I could not do this without God's help.
  • I don't believe in any Bible or any one God. I think the truth probably has to do with reincarnation and some higher power of ourselves. Maybe we put ourselves on this Earth to learn and to grow. We don't know, and, no one can possibly know anything for sure until death.
  • If ever Im having doubts I think about this poem called footprints! One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it: "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The LORD replied: "My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
  • Yeah I have alot of thoughts, I'm kinda like you, but a little different. You find it hard to believe in God, I find it impossible. You want to believe there is a higher power and I'm relieved there isn't. If God actually existed then there is something seriously wrong with that dude. For an all knowing being he sure seems to be more than a little retarded. And he must have been really overflowing with unconditional love when he was drawing up the blue prints of the twisted never ending fiery torture chamber that awaits us if we can't live up to the impossible standards he set for us. That's not something that a perfectly good being who loves us would come up with. Only a horrible and demented god would allow babies to me tortured and murdered, bring his children into the world just long enough to be thrown in the river by psychotic parents or just long enough to endure a slow suffering death in the bottom of a dumpster hours after being born....over and over and over again....the whole time knowing in advance that's how it's going to be. Not too many decent parents would conceive their child if they knew in advance what awaited them. If this is God's mysterious plan that we don't have the ability to understand then it's about time to scrap that plan, enough is enough.
  • Many very spiritual people are plagued with doubts. One person currently in the news is Mother Teresa of Calcutta. She wrote in one of her letters, "I am told God lives in me -- and yet the reality of darkness and coldness and emptiness is so great that nothing touches my soul." Her letters show a real human struggle with her own spirituality and shows her humanity. Even Jesus cried out on the cross, "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?" Sometimes it seems to be the people with the greatest souls have the greatest doubts. Struggle through and do not give up. God is with you even if you don't feel His presence at this moment. With love and prayers in Christ.
  • Seek awareness on a personal inner level.Observe the natural world, muse and meditate, study history and science. The powers that be exist on a level beyond our perception, but can be glimpsed at through perfection, compassion, and consciousness.
  • I agree with you fully, hence why I am now atheist, god in my eyes should he exist is a neglective parent.
  • Im no expert on God, Butt try to see the small miricles every day. Dont look for the parting of waters, or the face of Jesus in a bowl of soup. The fact that you have good health or a healyhy child. There are so many people that are in hospitals in pain suffering from cancer or horrible deformitys. Thank GOD for those small miricles.
  • He helps the world the whole time because if He didn't we would have already destroyed ourselves. In today's times it is difficult as the average spiritual level of people is very low and there is lot of spiritual pollution. Also people do not practice spirituality in the proper way. So off course the world is not in a good state. If one does not clean the house the dirt collects. And if it is not cleaned a very long time then even diseases develop in that house. This article shows with graphs and figures the level of people in today's times and what needs to be done to resolve the situation (read point 6) Spiritual levle of the entire human race http://www.spiritualresearchfoundation.org/spiritualresearch/spiritualscience/spirituallevel_saints/
  • For Jews and Christians, we are told to look back to the great acts of God which show His love for us and His power. For Jews, the specific event was the Exodus, where, with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, He redeemed His people Israel and defeated His enemies. For Christians, the event was Christ Jesus dying in our place which established God's Kingdom, paid the price for our sins and defeated God's enemies of death, sin and Satan. Both of us believe in God's promise of final Judgment. This final Judgment is God's pledge that He cares what happens in His creation and that He will not let people abuse it forever. In fact, in Psalm 96 creation is told to rejoice because God comes as judge.
  • Hi my friend. God don't exist. Men had, have and will have ever the neccesity to believe in God to explain that what they ignore of their own existence in the Universe. The Biblical Gods? They are literal fictions that occult a literal figure that speak you of the Pharaoh of Egypt, the Great Building, the Great Pyramid. This is the God of mankind. Into the Great Pyramid you have the God of Jews in Egypt, the Lion of Judah. But nobody can see the face of God into the Great Pyramid, because the mankind was deceived to believe in fictions. The mankind is waiting for false Messiahs; since the real Messiah this mankind is waiting is the Envoy of Constructor of Great Pyramid. He is here now on Earth.
