I saw a mallard drake nibbling at a dead pigeon today. It appears they'll eat anything they can get.

They are quite the foragers, eating grass, insects, small fish, tadpoles, berries, leaves, green plant shoots, and grains and seeds. Baby ducklings are great little bug catchers, sometimes leaping into the air a foot or more to catch that prized moth of fly:-)

Well, I like to Feed them Corn. I gave them a bag and by the next day it was all gone. I saw two mallards eating the corn. I would try that. Good Luck

ducks tend to eat layers pellets which is best given to them in the morning, dry, corn in the evening with water somtimes, bread is fine, but too much is very bad for them, they dont tend to like much vegetables, but they love pond weed, worms, insects...i dont think berries and nuts are very good...one berries may give them the squits and 2 the nuts might be too big and choke them...please dont feed your ducks without knowing for sure it's safe.
