Help answer this question below.
when i was about 5 yrs old . i had a cat that had kittens and they were all deformed in one way or the other. by the next morning my cat had eaten all of them.
my mother told me that an animal can detect defects in there young and will dispose of them, sometimes by eating them. this isnt any thing cruel or a disorder it is part of nature and an animals way.
im sure your dog is fine it just somehow sensed it as nature.
It's not really a disorder. The mother senses something wrong or tainted in the puppies, and destroys them for their own lack of suffering and to keep the canine gene pool strong.
I think I read that somewhere, at least.
My bull Terrier did the exact same thing
My Pom gave birth to 5 or 6 pups last weekend and ate them all too. I called the hospital and a breeder friend and they both told me she had sensed something wrong with them, to let her be and comfort her while she was whelping. It made me angry at her at first, but it is the canine way. Sometimes she goes to the whelping box and just looks at it and sniffs it. I guess they know what's best for their young, as a human, it's hard to take.
what are U thinking about?

You're reading My dog gave birth to seven puppies and ate them all. I'm wondering if there is any information about this topic or do you know what causes this disorder.
