I've noticed that some Wicca sites share space with Satanic groups. Are the two religions related in any way?

The only way they are related is that they are not Christian. Wiccans do not believe in Satan, let alone worship him. Then again, many Satanists don't either. There are many different kinds of Wiccans and Satanists, so it's hard to generalize, but generally Wiccans try to do good for others and nature while Satanists help themselves first, then maybe others. I'm actually curious about which sites you found since I've never seen any sites like that myself. Generally, the Wiccans I've talked to try to distance themselves from Satanists since so many people wrongly people that Wiccans worship Satan since they are witches. Of course, this belief in part stems from the idea that anyone who worships other gods than the Christian one is worshipping Satan in disguise. Perhaps the Wiccans were sharing space with the Satanists because they understand how hard it is to be part of a minority religion. Of course, with all the many varieties of Satanism and Wiccanism out there, it is possible that their are people who believe in both, though they would probably receive at least some criticism from both groups.

The Ideal of Wicca is "An it harm none, do as ye well." Modern day Satanism as the Church Of Satan puts it to me is more opposite of Buddhism than it is opposite of Christianity because modern day Satanism is totally self centered humanism where as Buddhism is totally not self centered humanism. But it is true that without the Christian concept of the devil, Satanism in ANY form would not and could not exhist. The concept of total self centerdness would still exhist, but the name "Satanism" would not exhist. Wicca=selflessness, Satanism=selfishness, no relation.....

I have never seen this myself. The two are totally unrelated and the only possible reason I can think of for the two to share space is that the webmaster has no concept of what either religion is really about.

Wicca & Satanism ARE NOT related in any way... Satanists... (Levayian & Crowleyism) either worship themselves or egyptian Gods... They dont actually worship satan... Wiccans.... Beleive in a Goddess or God & Goddess pair who are thier deities... let me know what website you saw that under... Am curious...

Wicca and Satanism are not related in any other way than that they are modern, non-Abrahamic belief systems. The founders of both (Gardner and Lavey) were both familiar with the works of Crowley. That's about it.

Nope, Wicca is based on the earth and on Gods of the earth, Satan has nothing to do with it.

I don't see how. No not at all. Wiccans are following a religion completely unrelated to Christianity. Some may argue that Satan means "rebel" but I think it would be pretty arrogant of a christian to think anyone who doesn't follow the Christian religion is only doing so to rebel.

No. Satan is a Judeo-Christian belief. Wiccans do not believe in Satan.

Christians invented 'satan' to scare people into staying into christianity. Wiccans do NOT believe in "a satan".

To some Christians (and perhaps some Muslims), yes - they are considered one-in-the-same..
