  • never ever!!! just the thought scares me. i would hope to never stop learning if i did it would be a certain death.
  • At no age. You have to keep learning to keep living.
  • Settle for what? That would be incredibly boring.
  • In the Dark Ages - I assume that's why it was called Dark Ages.
  • The day you die...whatever age that is.
  • Never never ever!
  • I don't think you should EVER close your mind off, and settle. One is always learning and experiencing things. If you lived a full 100 years you would still never see EVERYTHING. There's so much to learn!
  • At the age where they slam the door on the crematorium! Until I die, I hope I will never suffer from a closed mind, I hope I never stop learning new things, and I will never EVER 'settle'!!
  • Never.
  • Absolutely never. In fact some studies indicate that the longer a person studies, does new things mentally etc. that these people have a lower rate of dementia and alzemheimers.
  • When I die and start to smell. When I'm cold in the grave or on the funeral pyre. Closing your mind off from the world, from people, from knowledge is like stagnating or getting gangrene while still alive. I may be sure about certain things though always ready to admit I'm wrong and change. And I will never stop learning. I think it would be impossible for me to do that. I can't stop myself from reading milk containers, how can I stop myself from exploring every nook of life? I was born curious:-)
  • Never.
  • There is no such age. Till we are alive we should not stop learning new.
  • NEVER. the day i do that will be the day i die
  • NEVER EVER , I've been there done that and it was the worst thing I could do to myself + 5 --- Hello Rosie
  • Why would you want to stop learning? You might as well just sit down and die. Learning keeps life interesting and keeps our minds active. It also can help keep depression at bay and make us feel more worthwhile.
  • 212! (I agree with everyone else . . . never.)
  • Whichever age it is that you die.
  • Never.......... Life is a journey of learning...
  • The day you learn everything there is to know and have experienced every permutation of life's joy and sorrow, then there will always be the mystery of death. I do have my doubts that any human being can learn everything but I'd be happy to be proven wrong. The day you lose a passion for learning is the day you truly die.
  • Never!!!
  • From what I've observed over the years, I'd say when you're a teenager. At that point in time they know it all anyway, so why bother?
  • Well, never! I've always believed that you're never too old or young to learn new things. :) But, that's just my opinion.... :)
  • don't know if it's ever possible in this life! you start by rejecting in block, others' opinions and once that done, your own views are the only thing left. since you need to reject to feel that you exist in some ways you probably end up by rejecting in block what you've got left too. only to find yourself feeling empty, alone, with nothing and that, you can't bear it, and guess what happen since you are free from your own secluded views. life rules and your mind blossoms, and you start learning new things against your will, by force of nature! sadly or maybe not, that it had to come to this point! seclusion or not you probably end up learning new things even without you admitting it i'm closing my mind for now if i can until next time!
  • I do not think age matters. What is important is to stay healthy and hold on as long as it is possible. My friend Mr Liow has turned 80 but he is still very active, both physically and mentally. I can look to this friend of mine for both encouragement and inspiration. I do not agree that I should close my mind, stop learning new things and just settle down to doing nothing. I do not opt for this lifestyle even in my twilight years.
