  • It's the Delaware point system, as that's the issuing state of your license. Most states have some method of assigning points for moving violations commited out of state. Unfortunately, the Delaware DMV website doesn't give a very detailed explanation of the system, referring people instead to the statutes themselves for a list of violations. And those statutes (found at http://www.delcode.state.de.us/title21/index.htm) don't mention points, but only what actions are legal or illegal. So I can't give a definitive answer as to the actual method of point assignment. Most likely, you'll get either a number of points equivalent to what that offense would be in Delaware, or else 2 points for a miscellaneous moving violation. It's possible you'll get off without any points, but I wouldn't bet on it. If you really need to know the answer, consult a Delaware lawyer.
